TOKYO -- As technological advancements create new risks around privacy and misinformation, Oracle CEO Safra Catz is optimistic that artificial intelligence, the cloud and other tools will ultimately better society by creating new jobs and freeing up resources for those left behind by change.

Founded in 1977, Oracle provides cloud services to a variety of industries including finance, telecommunications and healthcare. In a wide-ranging interview with Nikkei, Catz discussed her company's philosophy, providing cloud infrastructure to TikTok and the importance of diversity in tech, among other topics.
