New York Attorney General Letitia James is again pushing to see Donald Trump hit with a lifetime ban from the state's real estate industry.

In a letter filed with the court Tuesday Colleen Faherty, a lawyer in James' office, argued that New York State Executive Law 63(12) allows the court to "issue a permanent and plenary ban in a particular industry."

Trump, his sons, and the Trump Organization are co-defendants in the $370 million civil fraud trial, brought by James, which accuses Trump of inflating his net worth by billions to obtain favorable financial transactions.

The judge has already found the defendants liable for fraud, but has been hearing a trial in order to decide damages. Along with the $370 million damages, James has been pushing for limits to the Trump Organization's ability to operate in the state.

Trump has denied wrongdoing and has said the trial is politically motivated.

Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing the trial, ruled that Trump committed fraud by exaggerating the value of his real estate assets. A ruling on punishment is expected this month.
